1: The Tractor Ted gifting experience
With all our gift cards, you can choose an image that will be sent with the gift card, include a personal message and schedule it to be sent on a later date.
This allows you to add your own touch to the gift card and make it more personal.
Personalising a gift card
One the gift card product page, click the ‘send as gift’ button. A pop-up will open.
On this page you can:
- Choose whether to send the gift card as an email or print it out at home
- Add the recipient’s name
- Add a personalised greeting
- Choose from a range of different gift card images to fit the occasion
- If emailing the gift card, you can specify which date you would like the gift card to arrive with the recipient.
Scheduling a gift card
One the gift card product page, click the ‘send as gift’ button to send the gift card on a specified date.
Ensure that you have selected the ‘email’ option and choose your specified day for the card to arrive. Your gift card will arrive at the recipient’s email address at around 4.00am GMT on the day you specified, so it will be with them when they wake up!
Once the recipient opens the gift card, a message is sent to the buyer notifying them that the gift was received.

The receiver will get a stylish and branded email. When opening the email, they will be directed to their greeting card, where they will see the image you chose and the message you wrote.
This creates a personal and thoughtful gift card experience that will delight the receiver and be remembered.
3: How Customers Redeem their Gift Cards
Each gift card has a unique code which can be entered during the checkout process.

Q: What if the basket value is less than the balance on the gift card?
A: If the basket value is less than the balance on the gift card, the value of the basket is deducted from the gift card and the remaining gift card balance is available to spend on a further transaction
Q: What is the basket value is more than the balance on a gift card?
A: If the basket value exceeds the remaining balance on a gift card, you can still use the remaining gift card balance and pay the remainder of the basket value using an alternative payment method such as a credit/debit card.
Q: What happens if I need to return an item that was paid for using a gift card?
A: If you return an item and are refunded, the value of the refund will go back onto the gift card. You can then use the gift card for another purchase on the Tractor Ted website.
Q: Do gift cards have an expiry date?
A: All out gift cards are valid for 12-months from the date purchased. If you have any problems using your gift card, please contact admin@tractorted.co.uk for support.
Q: How can I check the balance on my gift card?
A: You can check your gift card balance by using the check balance page.
